چکیده

Wrist arthroscopy is a successful tool to diagnose and treat several intra-articular wrist pathologies. To assess the stability integrity of triangular fibrocartilage complex (TFCC), most commonly injured structure in ulnocarpal compartment, trampoline hook tests are frequently used daily practice. However, their arthroscopic performance measures have not been well elucidated date. While test may primarily be seen as sensitive detect foveal TFCC tears, equal importance for clinician because it can occurring superficial (distal) tears peripheral area. As opposed test, however, might more easily lead interrater disagreement since rebound after probing rather continuum than binary measure related different severity disruption. The combination both should thus pursued they complement each other very well. Proper interpretation needs sufficient experience done concordance with clinical evaluation (ie, fovea sign, distal radioulnar joint ballottement test). Hence, accurate but all together important establish correct diagnosis. For once, Captain Hook has won!

Triangular fibrocartilage complex tears: a review.

Triangular fibrocartilage complex (TFCC) tears are a common source of ulnar sided wrist pain. Originally described by Palmer, in 1981, as a complex of several structures, our understanding of the anatomy and the function of the TFCC has been refined by histologic studies. The TFCC plays an important role in load bearing across the wrist as well as in distal radioulnar joint (DRUJ) stabilization...

Fetal Vegf Genotype is More Important for Abortion Risk than Mother Genotype

Background VEGF gene has been reported to be related with many diseases and recurrent pregnancy loss in various studies. VEGF polymorphisms are risk factors for pregnancy losses, and generally studies report only women’s genetic analyses. To evaluate the association between VEGF A C405G, C460T, C936T and C2578A polymorphisms and spontaneous abortion, we studied the genotypes of spontaneously a...
